Crackle Crackle Crackle
Avoided expectation driving
A deeper remorse
A shortened trip
Unwanted but wanted, instead
The rowing neighbours
Bang Bang Bang
A guilty memory
And everyone else happy
Burdened with tat
And this year snow
But the tank is dangerously low
Though the thaw will come
Drip Drip Drip
Soothing an ache
Short lived
The muses look on from every room
In silence

John,
ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost, thanks for your reply on the music I was looking for, but secondly, thank you for leading me to your poetry website.
Your poetry is well written and is evident that it is heart driven. Keep writing as it will reflect you as a true human being that cares greatly about the world around him. The accompaning photos are also unique pieces that adds depth to your prose.
I look forward in returning to your site in weeks to come.
Thank you so much Scott - your comments are greatly appreciated and help to spur my drive for the project - my biggest fear is running out of ideas or somehow diluting the quality...I guess only time will tell!
